Turanganui Slideshow

Here is my slideshow full of what we did this year in Turanganui 2019.
I enjoyed getting all the photos and adding all the texts in.
I had some troubles with moving the photos around and getting them in order and in time.
I would probably improve the speed maybe,Otherwise I´m quiet proud of it.

Waikato Action Week

A couple weeks ago we went to action week.In the following video is a journey of where we went that week.I enjoyed traveling around the map to find the places we went to. I found it a bit difficult to record the audio, Because of the noise in the background. I would probably change where I recorded it so the audio sounded more clearer. The video shows how I used google earth to travel around showing where we went, And it also shows that I used Screencastify to record the screen and my voice.

Today I was Experiencing How to link slides to other slides in Google slides. And how to create a math quiz.

I enjoyed Customising the appearance of the quiz.

I found it challenging to Create difficult questions to hook my audience in.

My digital learning object shows my Introduction completed and linked. And My first problem Linked to the correct, wrong and next slide.

Next time I would change The questions to be harder.

RWC Mascot /Unfinished/

Today I was learning to Trace over a photo to create a mascot for the Rugby World Cup Using Polyline and Curve tool In Google Slides,Docs or Drawing.

I enjoyed Customizing Our Mascot, Having to Add A National flower,Animal and their Flag, The country I have Is Wales.

I found it challenging to Finish The Mascot because of how difficult it was to use Polyline and Curve tool.

My digital learning object shows How One I haven't Finished and Two how to use a photo of the web without Copyrights getting in the way, It also show how me and my learning buddy Worked together to finish, They did the flower While I tried to do the dragon.

Next time I would hopefully finish the mascot, Otherwise I think it looks great.

Celebrating The Maori New Year Through Animation.

Today I was learning how to make a frame by frame animation towards the Maori new year also known as Matariki.
I enjoyed testing out Brush Ninja, I thought it was a different way to showcase my work.
I found it hard to add more movement between the scenes and make the text look more fancy to look at instead of it looking quite messy.
My animation shows the stars popping up and getting ready to shine through the week.
Next time I would change the background just to make it look more interesting.
This blog post shows that I am /Stepping up/.

Micro bit!

In stem class we were introduced to a small gadget called a Micro Bit. A micro bit can be used to program different things such as Games,Robots,Music and heaps more. They can also communicate across other micro bits too. What I find interesting about them is that they are such a small piece of technology but the programming inside of it is fascinating. Since they are so small they can be taken anywhere like your pocket, hand bag and some times even small compartments. The Micro bit is a really clever and fun piece of technology to have at home or school to program with. I wonder if in the future they will become free to have in New Zealand schools.

I hope you enjoyed my opinion on the Micro Bit.

My Cooking Tech experience.

In cooking tech we had the chance to experience one of the very important life skills cooking. We would normally just get a recipe and just start cooking, well there was some safety procedures and some very helpful cooking tips but that was all apart of the tech class. Some of the ingredients we used were from the garden that we contributed and cared towards. In cooking we would also learn about presenting our food to make it look a bit more enjoyable. One other thing we talked about was keeping a tidy kitchen, that's always important to remember. Here is a list of all the recipes that we did Smoothies,Omelette,Waffles,Rice Risotto,Shrewsbury's,Pigs in a blanket,Apple crumble,Potato savories,Fettuccine,Brownies, cake in a mug and stir fry.
This might have been one of my favorites but to be honest I've enjoyed all of the tech classes.

Our Anzac Wreath

So the picture you can see is in memory of all those soldiers in our families that went to war. All the students in our hub contributed at least one thing towards this wreath, If it was a photo or even a poppy. This was our way of paying our respects to those who sacrificed their life for the next generation.

Moment in Time/The Arivings of the Endeavor

In Manaiakalani we learnt how to make our writing pieces more eye catching by using google drawings for short writing and slides for long writing,While using colours and fonts. The writing above is based around the history Gisborne has with the Endeavor. This piece is in the perspective of an Englishman hoping off the ship and seeing the Maoris as a threat to him as the rest of the men aboard. So how i saw this moment as an act of fear and on implause.

Chinese in New Zealand poem

Chinese in New Zealand
Their Presence would bring downfall,
Each nation has the right to decide,
But still they come.
They only want GOLD,
They are corrupt and greedy,
A POLL TAX is genius
-Alizeyah.

This poem is based around the events of the 1800s poll tax.It is the perspective of a New Zealander at the time of these events. We have                                                                                           learnt about the unfair and cruel times the chinese                                                                                     went through.

My Famous NZer Alizeyah

Hi Today I learnt How To use ScreenCastify.I used it to record the information I found about this person.

Kopuwai and the clever girl

This story is from Rapuwai,And is set on the banks of Matu-Au/Clutha River in Otago and comes from a long time ago. When Moa roamed the land and giant tuna swam in the rivers. Each summer hunting parties would travel inland to gather food.Sometimes people would go missing,Whanau would blame Kopuwai the monster from the river who preyed on humans with his ferocious pack of two headed dogs.

Kopuwai was strong and fearsome but he had one weakness. The warm breeze of the North West wind would make him tired. He would always yawn no matter what time. So every time it came he would be afraid that his new Mokia would escape. So he tied a rope to the girls ankle and the other end he would have a great grip on.

His character is quite angry epicly when he got outsmarted by Kaiamio. He's the leader of his pack. He's very lazy so he makes Kaiamoa do all the work. This challenge shows how smart and preventful he is but he's not smart enough for Kaiamio.

In the end Kaiamio escapes the wicked beast by creating a raft near the river in her spare time,So she could use the river. When the raft was finished she pearped and waited for the North West wind to blow. When it hit she was ready she scrambled down to the river,Ripped off the rope on her and tied it onto a small sapling.Without a second she shoved the raft down into the river and let the current take her.And that's how she escapes the beast leaving him With the remains of her preparation and so very angry.

Paikea's is a character who wants to prove that women can also lead. She determined to fight for what she believes in. And is willing to sacrifice herself for the ones she loves.

Shes really important to the story because she helps her tribe/people realise that gender doesn’t matter. And everyone even child can lead a pack.
She also teaches a life leason.

To conclude In the end Paikea proves what a leader she is by leading her people on a waka.Over the waves as they start their new adventure.

Why is Multiculturalism Important to our society.

I believe that multiculturalism
Is very important to our community
And society. It can have some benefits
Like earning Diverse cultures,Languages
And earning the respect of Others.

Most of NZ's population would communicate
Though english but Nz also accepts difference in languages like Te reo maori,Samoan and many more.
We can also learn others cultures, we understand their lifestyle,Food and Religion. And their general person.

The importance of multiculism is that we as a huge community are accepting everyone's differences. So if we were all the same what would we be now?
Just a plain old country with only one culture and everyone would be the same,But we aren't like that that we have many cultures and we don’t put it to waste.

To summarize the reason why multiculturalism is so important is because it makes us more acteeping, Promotes peace, helps when traveling and it's just a nice skill to have.So that all i have to say sdo i hope you now understand why multiculturalism is so important.
